Cherokee County Clinic
  The mission of the Cherokee County Clinic is to provide quality health services to members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians who reside in Cherokee County.

Scope of Work: The Cherokee County Indian Clinic provides basic medical services to tribal members at a satellite location, approximately 55 miles from the Cherokee Indian Hospital. Services include medication refills, medical appointments, children’s dental appointments, Behavioral Health, Recovery Services Center, Diabetes Clinic, and laboratory services.

2003 Accomplishments:

  • Increased number of home health visits.
  • Behavioral Health seeing patients twice monthly.
  • Medication pick-up and distribution schedule flowing smoothly without complications.

  • Updated patient charts complete with demographic information and Privacy Act Acknowledgments.
  • Implemented measures to become fully HIPPA compliant within the clinic.
  • Laboratory services provided by RN with follow-ups as needed and requested by healthcare provider.
  • Great amount of assistance provided to the senior citizens within Cherokee County.
  • Programs that provide services through CCC: Tribal Diabetes Program complete with social worker, Cherokee Women’s Wellness, and Behavioral Health.
  • Developed a working relationship with other departments in order to provide collaborative patient care.
  • Ordered new medical equipment and supplies to provide more comprehensive patient care.
