Special Projects
The mission of Special Projects is to “Get It Done” via exceptional health care training to the Eastern Band of Cherokee and other USET tribes and successfully complete assigned tasks regarding HMD and EBCI.

Health and Medical Administration

Scope of Work: Special Projects works with 24 tribes and 3 urban centers for training needs. Special Projects does a multitude of assigned tasks, primarily dealing with EBCI exclusively.

  • Secured bids for various projects within HMD:
    Renovation, remodeling, painting, equipment needs, vehicles.
  • Disposed of unused outdated documents and equipment within HMD departments
    Disposed and shredded confidential files stored in HMD attic.
  • Equipped Health Coop class at Cherokee High School
    Assisting Mrs. Hess with her classroom needs and equipment
  • Assist HMD departments set up offices in the Ginger Lynn Welch Center
    (Wound Care, Cherokee Choices, Lynn Taylor- Wellness Center Manager)
  • Complete review of all HMD facilities working with medical charts and confidential matter and made recommendations to administration for improvement.
  • Appraised and evaluated Williams House to be used as Recovery Services Halfway house.
