Urgent Care
The mission of the Cherokee Urgent Care Clinic is to provide quality, culturally sensitive health care for urgent medical problems in a timely manner.

Location:
Highway 19, El Camino Plaza

Scope of Work: The Urgent Care Clinic provides medical evaluation and
management of urgent, self limited medical problems on a walk-in basis. Patients
are encouraged to return to their regular medical provider for maintenance of
chronic medical conditions that require continuity of care for optimal management.

2003 Accomplishments:

  • Number of Encounter up
    • Year 2002 = 3307
    • Year 2003 = 3958
    • This shows that we saw 651 more patients in 2003 than in 2002.

    • This is not bad. This indicates that our returning patient number has increased.
  • Established Encounters up
    • Year 2002 = 1956
    • Year 2003 = 2695
    • An increase of 739 patients. Also supporting the new encounter indicator.
  • Enrolled Encounters up
    • Year 2002 = 1895
    • Year 2003 = 2257
    • Increasing by 362 encounters.
  • Hired and promoted qualified Staff
    • Promoted employee to LPN position
    • Transferred RN to Employee Health Nurse
    • Hired MOA
  • Training of Staff
    • MOA attended Coding training
    • Third Party Receipts Processor attended coding training
    • All staff Attended HIPPA Training
    • Provider attended Family Practice Seminar
  • The biggest Accomplishment is that we have extended our Hours of operation to being open from 9am until 6pm Monday thru Friday.
